笔者曾于中国大陆的江苏省、浙江省、广东省见过大量巴利文贝叶经，我看到的这些贝叶经都是古缅文拼写的，中国的巴利文学者都不懂古缅文，所以这些宝贵的贝叶经还没有经过整理研究。

A amount of Pali Pattra-leaf Scriptures or Sutras that I had been seen in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong Provinces of Chinese Mainland, which are all written by ancient Burmese. Because Chinese Pali Scholars cannot know ancient Burmese, these valuable Sutras were not sorted out and researched.

这些贝叶经是什么时候、通过什么途径传入中国？和现代流通的巴利文经典有何异同？我们都不得而知，但是个人觉得它们都 极具研究价值。

When and through which approaches these Pattra-leaf Scriptures were introduced into China? What differences and similarities of these Pali Pattra-leaf Scriptures and modern current circulating Pali Sutras? None of them are known,but they are all of great research value in my opinion.

有位我认识的北京老板，他存有两万多部巴利文贝叶经，不仅有古缅文拼的，还有古泰文、古僧伽罗文拼写的。从谈话中我得知他在北京、厦门等地展览过。非常遗憾的事是对它们的内容都缺乏研究。

More than twenty thousands Pali Pattra-leaf Scriptures had been preserved well by one Beijing Boss I know, which spellings are not only in ancient Burmese, but also are in ancient Thai and ancient Sinhala. From his talking, I have known that these Scriptures had been shown in Beijing and Xiamen Cites. What a pity that there is lack of researches on their contents.

中国的巴利文学者非常希望能与缅甸、泰国、斯里兰卡等国的巴利文学者合作研究这批珍贵的文献资料。

Chinese Pali Scholars extremely hope that they can cooperate with Pali Scholars from Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka and other countries to study these precious document  materials.
